As controller, Anisha Crite oversees Polk Bros. Foundation’s financial operations, including accounting and audit, payroll, purchasing and banking, while ensuring alignment with organizational policies and financial best practices. She joined the Foundation in 2025 and draws on an extensive background in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis and research administration to help support the Foundation’s long-term financial stewardship. Before joining Polk Bros. Foundation, Anisha served as director of finance at LUNGevity Foundation, where she led efforts to streamline financial processes related to budgeting, forecasting and audits. She began her career in the corporate sector with Ryerson Tull, followed by Navigant Consulting, before transitioning to the nonprofit field in 2010 at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab).
