Polk Bros. Foundation is a private, independent foundation working to make Chicago a place where all people have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our work is grounded in three interconnected goals: Closing the Life Expectancy Gap, Building Community Wealth Across Generations, and Fostering Participatory, Multiracial Democracy.
At Polk Bros. Foundation, transparency and accountability are core to how we work. We share our independent audits from the past five years, reflecting our commitment to responsible governance and openness about how we direct our resources in pursuit of making Chicago a place where all people have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We also share demographic data about Foundation directors and officers, in alignment with Illinois Public Act 103-0635.
